FIRE COURSES

The Fire Courses at SMG Fire & Safety Institute is a specially designed program for young aspirants who wish to start their career in the Fire & Rescue Services. This course equips students with the essential knowledge, skills, and discipline required to work as a professional firefighter in both Government and Private sectors.

During the training, students learn about the science of fire, fire extinguishers, fire detection systems, rescue techniques, hose & ladder operations, pump handling, and emergency response methods. Practical drills are conducted regularly, including running practice, rope climbing, long jump, weight lifting, and live fire extinguishing exercises.

Students are also trained in first aid, CPR, burn care, and disaster management, which prepares them for real-life emergency situations. The focus is not only on physical fitness and technical skills but also on developing qualities like teamwork, leadership, and quick decision-making.
